How to succeed
Students in my class have talked about what they need to do to succeed with their studies. They have decided that the following things are important.
Part 1
- Come to every lesson
- Be prepared
- Be on time
- Behave yourself
- Work from the start of the lesson
- Work during the whole lesson
- Do your homework
- Do your homework on time
Part 2
- Be responsible for your own work
- Work for your own good, not just to impress the teacher
- Work hard even when your teacher is not in the classroom
- Work towards your own goals
The points mentioned in part one are basic requirements for all school work. When the you have internalised part 2, you are ready to enter further education and the new challenges that life holds in store.
